CELLBLOCK 9

THE LONGEST NIGHT

FROM THE WORLD OF THE ARCADE GAME
πŸŒ™ CHAPTER 1 β€” LIGHTS OUT
1
*click*
Midnight in Cellblock 9. The guard on rounds forgot to double-lock cell 27 β€” and the prisoner they called Rook had been counting on it for weeks.
2
STAY OUT OF THE LIGHT
Every guard sees a cone of torchlight, and every corridor has a shadow. Rook crouched low and moved only when the light looked away.
πŸͺ¨ CHAPTER 2 β€” THE YARD
3
THE SEARCHLIT YARD
The yard was a chessboard of light and shadow, and the searchlights never slept. Two towers. Three guards. One prisoner with a plan and a pocketful of rocks.
4
CLANK! huh?
A rock, thrown just right, is the loudest thing in a quiet prison. CLANK β€” off the far fence. The guard spun toward the noise like a dog hearing the fridge open.
5
BONK.
While the guard investigated a very innocent fence, Rook tip-toed up behind him. BONK. "Sweet dreams, officer. You have thirty seconds of nap time."
🚨 CHAPTER 3 β€” ALARM!
6
ALARM! ALARM! ALARM!
One wrong step into the light and the whole prison screamed red. RUN. Rook sprinted for the deepest shadow and held his breath while boots thundered past… until the sirens got bored.
πŸ•³οΈ CHAPTER 4 β€” THE SEWERS
7
DOWN, DOWN, DOWN…
Under the yard, the sewers hummed their green song. It smelled like old socks and freedom. The rats didn't even look up β€” they'd seen this before.
8
YOU ESCAPED β˜…β˜…β˜…
The pipe spat him out on a hillside just as the sun came up. Three stars. Zero alarms (well… one). Somewhere behind him, a guard woke up with a headache and a mystery.
